Democracy Week in South Plainfield?
As we approach Democracy Week in South Plainfield, one must wonder why vote on the Library. To me the new library would be a no brainer. What should be on the ballot the trucking situation that has the town split.
Do the council and trucking companies not trust us to the right thing?
Let the people the people choose where the trucks should be routed. The possible following suggestions fro truck routes:
1: Hamilton Blvd.
2: New Market Ave
3: Helen Street Project
4: Ryan Ave
5: Allowing local truck deliveries only. The trucks can be sent off down Stelton Rd or they take back way through Edison to Park Ave.
If the Police checked the destination, most of these trucks would be cutting through South Plainfield to 28 and 22.
So the people should have a say, not just the trucking companies
