A Committee to study Truck Traffic Problem
An advisory committee has been set up to study the trucking problem. More details to follow. The committee chairperson has said the Helen Street Project has been laid to rest. I am glad.
I have a feeling trucks will been back rolling on Hamilton Blvd. from 287 to Plainfield and rt22.
Some suggestions:
All the borough has to do would be limit the trucks to only local deliverys only on its roads. While they have to press the county on truck traffic on county roads cutting through the borough.
They can also take some of the new tax money to train a team of Police Officers to inspect trucks coming into town for DOT violations. The can limit trucks to only the times these teams will be available. Trucks in town other than those times should be ticketed.
The coucil could also pass tighter Omission Rules.
The Brough Coucil does not have backbone to do this to protect the people of this town.
