My Parents Generation Still Giving

I was in the Home Depot yesterday, and spoke with two of their workers. The workers not your normal young people, workers in their sevenities. I joke with them about the age, but one of the workers made the point that they are at least dependable and show when scheduled not like the younger workers. I have to agree.

I looked at both the X and the Me Generations. They both expect to have something hand to them or its all about me. Though the me generation will work, they care more about the material wealth they will receive then quality of their work. If you don't beleive me take a look around your work place. Survey your working conditions, and look at the age of those responsible for those conditions.

As for my genration, the Woodstock Generation, we have work ethic, but we sold out our princibles that we so proudly championed back in the seventies, and we became Yuppies.

Yet again the Greatest Generation comes back to give of themselve again either by choice or nessecity. They are willing work and to do a good job.

The X and Me Generations were spawned by my generation, and we dropped the ball that our parents, the Greatest Generation, left in our hands.

Libby Gets Off

Libby gets a commuted sentence for his obstruction of justice penalty. All the Republicans support this commutation by Bush while the others, mainly on the left, argue that Bush did him a favor. The left has been arguing or should showing fear that now Libby would not have to testify before Conyors.
But, for me, I feel that both sides forgot the consequences his actions in the Plame affair caused. To this day, there has been known assessment of the damage by the outing of covert operative Valerie Plame. I suggest that Congress open up hearings into the consequence of this outing. By doing so, this would force the public to grasp the seriousness of Libby and those involved in the outing actions.
