Voting Machines

I just heard that they want to add verification to the electronic voting machines, and people are bitching about this raising taxes. I think there should be some verification of these machines especially since reports show that these machines can be hacked into, or programs can set to minipulate the out come of an election. I want some sort of physical evidence that my vote has been counted. I also want some way that if there is a close election, they have the means to verify the vote count. Right now these voting machine have no physical means of verifying vote counts. We need to have some means of verification. I have pondered a the possibly receiving a receipt showing my vote, but could violate the secret vote. Besides eventhough, I know my vote has counted what could would this do for a recount? If a copy of my receipt has been recorded then this could lead to some misdeeds.
Well any way, I did not right about the machines as much as the people complaining about the raising taxes to provide some accountablity of these machines. What these people do not undestand that we are talking about the heart of our democracy, the right to fair election. What good is when we have no faith in the way we vote? They we have lost essense of our founding fathers left us. You can not put a cost on voting.

Deer Sited in South Plainfield

Three Deer have been sited twice in South Plainfield. The first citing took place on Sampton Ave right across from the land torn prepared for development. The second siting took place last in front South Plainfield Funneral Home.

Maybe it time to stop the development on the Wetlands or maybe we should just the hunters kill all the animals in Wetlands then we can go in develop the Wetlands.
