Several letters have appeared in local newspapers, both pro and con for the project. I myself am against this tempory bandaid on bleeding artery. I my sound cruel for what I am about to say, but hear me out. Those people who live off of Belmnont Ave knew about the truck traffic.
This reminds of the people who move out into the country and all of the sudden they come in contact with Bears. Now, they want the Bears destroyed for the sake of their children. They use the same argument here. Destroy the wet lands for the sake of their children. Or should I say their children only. This project would benefit one section of the Borough not the whole.

I have yet to here these zealots cying out about the trucks going past the high and middle schools off of Plainfield Ave., or the truck traffic on Oak Tree Rd, Maple Ave, and Park Ave. No, just their own section, and their own kids.

If we want to spend the money to fix the problem, then that money should be spent to benefit the whole Borough not just one section. After all the whole Borough has a major truck problem.
