Helen St Project Continued

For those who support this project, I have a link to a map of the area in question.

Let say this propject passed the council and evrything has been completed. So, you move all the truck traffic off Hamilton Blvd. and divert over to the new road, what now? Easy to answer, all the trucs would go now up Metuchen Rd and what doesn't turn down Oak Tree Rd will end on on Front St. What you have now, another traffic problem. You moved the problem from one area of the borough to another area, and much smaller area.

The Helen St Project

Right from the start, I am telling you that I do not support this project. Eventhough some beleive it will save the children, I still do not support it. People need to open their eyes and take the blinders off. Truck roam most of the main roads in South Plainfield from Oak Tree Road to Maple Avenue to Plainfield Ave. These roads all being residential, and Plainfield Ave having a school on it. Why should one area, Belmont Rd area be deemed more important than the previous mentioned areas?

We do have a truck problem, so does every town in New Jersey. Solving the truck problem does not destroying a swap, but putting pressure on the trucking companies to rerouting trucks away from residential areas and forcing them to use smaller trucks when they can't help but to enter residential areas.
